  2. I agree with Amanda--the words you chose and the pictures, too, are very meaningful. I like how you put 'untouched' and 'removed from society' amongst your word collage. Both of those words suggest that you believe things that are unspoiled by human hands are cool--I have to say that I agree. There is nothing more uncool than a big pretty tree in the park with profanities scratched into the bark with a cheap pocketknife.

  3. These are indeed powerful words and pictures! I'm wondering how faith or belief in something so strong that it never waivers is actually cool...? It seems like it might become the antithesis of it. Just out of curiosity. :)

  4. In response to Whit, I feel like people such as Gandhi, Harvey Milk, Obama, or MLK derive their coolness from their complete commitment, faith, and belief in their causes. Agree or disagree?

  5. The graffiti is an amazing example of cool. Something that is usually destructive is in the instance inspiring.

  6. If you're saying commitment, faith, and belief is akin to the obsessiveness that we have already termed in class, then yes - but isn't that a severe trivialization of their influence on our society?
